Our Story…
We are best friends and very much in love. We met in San Diego at a Lindy Hop swing dance event on New Year’s Eve five years ago. At the time, Tony lived in San Francisco and Cynthia in Santa Barbara. When Tony saw Cynthia on the dance floor, he thought she was beautiful and graceful. However, during their first dance Tony was concentrating so hard on the dance steps, he frowned the entire time! Cynthia thought Tony seemed like a nice (and handsome!) guy, but she decided he must not have enjoyed dancing with her. Fortunately this particular dance event lasted four days so eventually we were able to relax and get to know each other. We were definitely a case of love at second sight because a year later we decided to marry!

We feel fortunate to have rewarding work and a warm home waiting at the end of the day. Tony is a manager at a local teaching hospital and Cynthia is Spanish teacher at a local community college. We both feel it is important that our child always be in the care of at least one parent. Cynthia is looking forward to being a full-time mom when a baby arrives! She will teach one class only two nights a week, thus allowing Tony the opportunity to be a hands-on dad.

Our interests include hiking and cycling in the hills near our home, working on projects around our house, and of course, swing dancing. We also love attending local cultural activities, such as dance performances and plays. We both studied in France and have lived and worked in Latin America. We can get by very well in French and speak Spanish fluently. We still love to travel both abroad and closer to home, and we look forward to sharing many adventures with our child!
