Why we want an Open Adoption
We have always known it would be difficult for us to conceive a child together and open adoption was a natural choice for us. Adoption has enriched many of our friends’ lives. Also, Cynthia’s sister became “Mom” to both of her beautiful children through open adoption. We are excited to build our own family this way, with the help of a birth family. We believe that open adoption is best for the child and all members of his or her extended family. It allows the child to maintain a relationship with the birth parents and helps the child understand that he or she has always been loved. It allows the birthparents to be a part of the child’s life and to see that he or she is loved and nurtured. If you entrust us with the ultimate gift, a chance to become parents, we look forward to sharing all the child’s special moments and milestones with you.

What we want for our child
As parents, we want to provide our child with a happy, stable home full of love, adventure, solid ideals, and educational opportunities. Foreign languages, travel and dance have shaped our lives and we truly look forward to sharing these experiences and more as a family! We want our child to have a good sense of curiosity about the world, as well as the self-esteem and confidence necessary to explore it. We will help our child discover what he or she loves to do, and find a way to make a difference in the world. Most important, we want our child to know unconditional love from us, as well as his or her courageous birthparents.
