Meet Tony
Tony grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with his parents, a brother and two sisters. He played lots of sports and spent his summer vacations in Ocean City on the New Jersey shore. Tony’s background is in Political Science. He also earned two Master’s degrees, one in Education and a second one in Public Health from Columbia University. This led to a job with the United Nations where he worked in Belize, Central America for a year helping refugees from other countries. It was an experience of a lifetime. Nowadays, Tony manages the Arthritis Division of the University of California at San Francisco where doctors provide patient care, teach medical students and conduct research.

My husband, Tony
Tony is active, fun loving and can’t stand to hang out on the couch. On weekends, when we head off for a hike, Tony always picks the longest and most challenging trail— the payoff is lots of adventure on the way up the mountain, and a fantastic view at the top! Being a teacher, I tend to worry and want to plan all the little details of our various hikes and trips, but Tony always says, “Let’s just get going. We can figure the rest out on the way.”

Tony is passionate about learning, trying new things and experiencing new cultures. He loves to choose exotic destinations for our vacations. Tony recently planned a wonderful trip to Ecuador where we spent 2 weeks exploring beautiful colonial towns, cloud forests and the Galapagos Islands. Tony takes college courses to keep up his Spanish and he is a voracious reader of political history and international affairs. Since we bought our home, Tony has become a very serious gardener, which means that many Sunday mornings we are attending gardening classes at a local garden center.

The thing I appreciate most about Tony is how very warm and loving he is. He is always available to help people solve problems, and he enjoys clipping and sending his family and friends articles he thinks might be of interest. Tony even likes to help people move! I feel so blessed to have found such a thoughtful and generous partner. I know Tony will be a devoted father, who will cherish spending time with his children!
